Communion

All Catholics present who are in a state of grace are invited to receive Communion at this time. For those who will not be receiving (i.e., they have health concerns or are not in the state of grace) and do not wish to receive sacramental Communion may make an Act of Spiritual Communion.

For now, Communion will take place after Mass. The idea is that Mass will conclude in the usual manner, and Fr. Tietjen will spend a few minutes in prayer at the end of Mass. This will give some time for those wanting to leave to exit the church while allowing those who may be sitting in their cars but who want to receive to come into the church.

Father Tietjen will then reenter the sanctuary, wash his hands, don a mask, and distribute Communion. Those who will not receive communion should not come forward with hands crossed for a blessing; there is a blessing for everyone at the end of Mass.

When you approach for Communion, please remain six feet from others in the line and from Father Tietjen. Take your mask off as you approach Father Tietjen. After receiving Communion, please put your mask back on. Father Tietjen will be doing his best to disinfect his hands during Communion.

We ask that once you have received, please directly exit the church by the main doors.

Collection

As you leave, there will be a collection basket in the vestibule. Any contributions you offer would be greatly appreciated. Online Giving is another option available (check out our website for more information).
